Global Head of HR Services, Norsk Hydro
Nelia is a senior executive, currently Head of HR Services for Norsk Hydro. She was appointed to this position on September 2018. In this role, she is responsible for Global HR Operations, including support for employees and leaders, recruitment, performance and development, compensation and benefits, payroll and industrial relations. Nelia also has strong background in Compliance and Process improvement.
Prior to this role, she headed the Latin America HR Competence Center for Norsk Hydro and prior to joining Hydro she held some senior leadership positions for multinational organizations including ADP, Convergys, NGA Human Resources and Anglo American.
Nelia has extensive experience leading large, diverse and cross-country teams towards common objectives to drive organizational effectiveness, high performance, innovation and change.
Nelia is a member of Hydro’s HR Executive Committee and Chairman of the HR Change Board. She has also been a mentor for Hydro’s leadership development programs.
Nelia graduated from Mackenzie University, School of Law. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the ESPM Business School in Sao Paulo.
Now residing in Oslo, Norway. Nelia enjoys spending time with her husband and son.

In the last years, Tom conducted workshops on HR Trends, HR Tech and innovations for organisations as AstraZeneca, Booking, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oracle, Perfetti van Melle, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, JDE, Deutsche Telekom, Heineken, Siemens, Nutreco, Airbus, Ferrovial, ABN-AMRO, FrieslandCampina, Amway, Philips, KPMG, Nestlé and various others. He is also a regular key note speaker at prominent HR conferences.
